Besties Sarah Robinson, Hannah Hudson, and Natalie Ralston came up with the idea of pregnancy emojis to "fill a need for pregnant women and new moms."
Robinson told BuzzFeed, "When you're pregnant or a new mom, texting is more than fun — it's actually a lifeline." To realize the project, the team hooked up with illustrator Lauren Burke, who created 250 original designs.
